Born Again from a caterpillar to a butterfly

You must be born again!
Just when the caterpillar thought the journey was over, it transformed to a butterfly!

The reason I am using a picture of butterflies is because it is a great analogy of being born again.

"Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.  I say unto you except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."
John 3:3-5

When God said this, he was talking about two different state of beings, one is being flesh and the other being spirit.  As the life of the caterpillar converts to a new life of a butterfly, the caterpillar was never able to fly.  As the new birth happens, the butterfly is able to fly!

Can we honestly go back to the mother's womb to be reborn?  No, this isn't what God was talking about.  He was speaking of the spiritual realm of life and not the fleshly realm of life.  The rebirth takes place by following the leading of the Holy Spirit.  God is a Spirit.  A spirit of LOVE!

So, how do we complete this transformation?  Do we hibernate within a chrysalis as the caterpillar does to transform into a beautiful butterfly?  Of course not; but we can view God's word as our chrysalis.  We can meditate and marinate on God's word until it completely covers and consumes our mind. As the caterpillar is completely engulfed by the chrysalis, it is completely cut-off by the living world.  Can we cover ourselves with the word of God to completely snuff out the desires of the flesh?  God says we can, by renewing of our mind with His word.  By following the Holy Spirit.  How do we follow the Holy Spirit?
In Ephesians it gives us the road map on how to follow the Holy Spirit.  Lets take a look!

"And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.  Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor; for we are members one of another.  Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:  Neither give place to the devil.  Let him that stole, steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.  Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it might minister grace unto the hearers.   And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.  Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor and evil speaking be put away from you with all malice;  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.  Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.  Restore unto me the JOY, of thy salvation; and uphold me with they "free" Spirit."
(The wings of a butterfly, how they freely flutter from flower to flower)

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Renewing the mind is creating a new thought, a new pattern, a new experience and a new life, a new beginning!  Darkness, negativity can't stand the light! Let go of yesterday, start anew today.  Open your gift, your present.  Let your focus be on today!
Take time to look at someone, offer them the greatest gift, connection!  Listen, look them in the eye and give them connectivity.  The clearest form of communication is silence.  On that note, talk to me, I am listening!
