Sand of the Ocean!

Something to think about.  If we carry worldly treasures, if they are not stolen, they soon deteriorate.  Even the IRS has a depreciation formula for those things that depreciate over time.  What did you receive this year that you will either forget about, or it will stop working by the years end, or shortly after.  What can our heart hold on to, if everything around us is slowing decaying?  Even the sand of the ocean, rushes in, only to flow back out with each tide.  

So how does one keep a steady, whole heart in such a deteriorating environment? A world filled with loss and decay.  

"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" 

Yesterday, I ended with Psalms 36:7 -  Our hearts and souls can be hidden beneath the shadow if His wings; where pleasures abound.  God says, even if I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall His hand lead me, and His right hand shall hold me. 

The only one I know of that can take the corruptible and turn it into eternal is God.  Do you know of anyone who has received the Pulitzer prize for stopping decay and corruption?  Someone whom has made a durable good to last forever?  Yet our heart and mind thinks eternal?  Though we each physically deteriorate each day, our heart beats life that doesn't end?  Though my body becomes weak over time; my inside soul screams out to say there is more!  We too are like the flower that blooms to fade.  The heart slows down, it becomes faint.  How is the soul reignited? 

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which lives and abides for ever. "

Thou the path is simple, most educated bypass it with their focus on the daily deterioration, instead of the new and incorruptible.  It only takes belief to change death and dying to living abundantly.  It only takes a spark of trust, yet they make it so difficult.  A closed mind and heart to love and life because they elect to chose what is seen rather than what is not seen but true!

The new birth can only take place by trusting in a God that loves you.  It is difficult at times to change our focus because those corruptible things often shimmer with delight when first seen.  Time is the test.  My soul speaks eternity; does yours?
