Faith fading?

Faith fading is trust falling apart!

Does your heart ever waver?  When we are subjected to double mindedness in ourselves or in others, it causes faith to fade.  Faith fading is trust falling apart.  No permanent structure or relationship can be built without a steady foundation of faith and trust.  This goes for a home, a building, and even our lifestyle and relationships.  Only God can take chaos and turn it into steadfastness.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
    and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
    and he will make your paths straight.

I think of the pouring of a cement foundation for a new home, or a strong upbringing of a child so they grow as an adult with a healthy esteem and a positive outlook on life.   If half of the foundation of a home is  hard cement and the other half has never cured, the foundation is not ready for the structure.  I am not a psychologist or even a counselor; but I am a person who was raised with trust and fear issues.  So I know, first-hand what it can do to a potential relationship.

If our actions are one way one day, and different the next, what can we base our trust in?  Sometimes our actions are so fickle, they change from moment to moment.  If our lives are filled with funny stories, we may laugh...but no truth is found in them.

This is where I find it absolutely necessary for myself to follow a guide of truth and love.  A guide that tells me I am loved and cherished and this love is consistent, reliable and most of all faithful! We have faithfulness in Him!  God says in His word he will keep our paths straight.  And we can trust in Him! I can count on Him!

I want to leave you today with God's amazing Grace to make it through whatever trial you have today.  So our faith stays consistent!  We have a God of Love!  Our faith is built on trail and temptation.  God has given us power to overcome!

James 1:12
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him.

 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials,  1 Peter 1:6
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7
