There isn't music loud enough that can drown it out!  This word forgiveness! The hardness, the heart, the soul, the emotions wrapped in a turbulent storm.  Matthew West has it right, it is the hardest thing to give away that word forgiveness!  To give away the action, the power, the self, it takes! The word alone is strong enough to move mountains!  Oh yes, isn't that powerful word the last thing on your mind today? And your heart beats strong because they don't deserve it! Your emotions stirred beyond capacity.  I feel it fly right in my face of pride, like an arrow meant to puncture and wound.  Oh, yes the pain is so real, you feel the nail as it slowly penetrates every nerve ending. And the sharp, jagged thorn of anger pierce the heart. God says it isn't flesh we have the battle with; but principalities of evil and darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness.  
This word forgiveness is so opposite of feelings.  Sometimes you can't even utter the word, forgiveness, because it sends chills down the spine!  Oh, hold hard to the vine, hold hard to the vine! John 15:5.  We are not equipped  to forgive without a Savior, without the spirit of love! The spirit of love can move away the mad inside, the grudge, the bitterness, the sour, the disappointment, the resentment.  
The spirit of love produces a wind that echoes "set it free"!  Only God can show us how to love the unlovable, what we thought was unreachable.  What is impossible to us, is possible with our God!  Forgiveness, Lord let it move a mountain!  Let it heal like the balm of Gilead.  Take down the wall, brick, by brick, replace the broken with a solid foundation of forgiveness.  It's all about forgiveness!  Matthew 6:12 - Big and small, life is made up of forgiveness! Turn your head, as your Father has graciously turned His. It was the last word spoken before death was consumed by victory! "There is more in grace to save than there is in sin to destroy.” .
Restore us Lord to reveal a heart like yours!

Be Held! Richness

Richness To be rich is not what you have in your bank account.  It's what you have in your heart.  The hand of a child, the cuddle of a newborn, the memories of a loved one, a hug from your spouse, the kiss of a child, a bear hug from grandma, moments of richness.  In fact priceless!   Time with a friend.  I was talking yesterday with a friend on the phone and we were talking about what our jobs were as Christians, here in this world.  I think we often lose focus with all the distractions.  She told me to look in Luke 4:18 where Jesus read in front of a crowd in the synagogue, and it read like this....."The spirit of Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted."  To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind.  To set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.   It is our job to tell ...
