His expression of Love!

Image
His expression of Love!  We can accumulate 365 lovely, true, kind, honest, good, and pure thoughts, at least once per day! Every day adding one more "powerful" thought.  "Philippians 4:8 - Be on the look out for God's blessings.  Search and see His expression of love.  I was listening to a Joyce Meyers CD on power thoughts, the kind of thoughts that change your attitude, that renew your mind and refresh your soul! Jesus Joy - a reminder in Philippians 4:8.  Be sure to enjoy the present moments and the gifts it contains.  Wow, what a beautiful sunset!  My Lord shares His artwork with me daily; capturing the very moment the light flows seamlessly through the bellowing clouds.  We should be on the look out daily for His expressions of love, they come rain or shine.  Some are obvious and others can be found under the rock of grace. Oh the power that He holds within His hands!   Heart Homework: Psalms 66:1-6 "Say unto God, how great art thou in thy

Walk with Patience!

Walk with Patience! The definition of patience is a certain quality, as to bearing provocation, or to provoke and not respond, yet express love when the flesh feels otherwise.  Being able to endure and perhaps suppress restlessness or annoyance.  Being able to handle a delay.  Today I was on the other side of the lake when the sun started to go down, my pace became faster because I didn't want to miss the beautiful sunset.  It only lasts for mere seconds once it starts to go down.  Chasing after God's artistry, His hand of peace that comes slowly, but settles so beautifully as the sun sets.  Psalms 36:5 "The mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and they faithfulness reaches unto the clouds."  His mercy shines and shows it's reflection on the stillness of the water.  We can choose to live in despair or make the choice to "Rest in Him, and wait patiently for him:   As we walk patiently and wait, the Lord is inclined to hear!  Psalms 40:2 He br

No turning back!

Image
No turning back, no turning back!  I have decided long ago to follow Jesus and there is no turning back.  The splendor of my King, clothed in majesty.  How great is our God!  Age to age He stands, as time is in His hands.  The beginning and the end.  Oh, the lion and the lamb.  Oh, sign and sing.....how great is our God! You are so worthy of our praise!  Oh father I missed a day with you.  Come out of sadness, where ever you have been.  Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.  Lay down your burdens and shame, all that are broken, left up your face!  Oh, lay down your hurt and come as you are.  Hope for hopeless, come and sit at the table and taste the grace!  Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot cure!  Are you wandering, come home....lay down your heart and come as you are.  Isn't it so nice just to fall into His arms.   Yes, there is joy in the morning.....Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.  Lift up your faith, bring it to Him now.  Lay down your hurt

Abba, Father

Image
Abba, Father It's so comforting to know I have a heavenly Father that allows me to call him Abba, Father!  The word Abba in Aramaic terms means "Daddy".    I remember calling my father dad, but never daddy.  To me, "daddy" means a real closeness, a safe harbor to go to if in trouble, or sad, or sharing feelings of disappointment, or just having a time of encouragement and uplifting!   I never felt particularly close to my father as I was growing up; in fact, on many occasions, it was a very turbulent atmosphere in our home.  One of anger, fighting and disappointment.   A meal wasn't made right.  We didn't bring my father the right tool when he screamed for it.  I think there were more curse words then the regular English language.  My father, for most of his life, lived scared and insecure.  And I think my mom did too.  I always felt in fear of a violent verbal lashing for failed expectations.  As I grew up and had my own children I remember

We believe!

Image
We believe!  Is it not a time in this world of desperation, doubt and fear? Where is our strength for the day?  Where is the joy?   Thou darkness may fill the night, Lord, you are my light, your presence near!  Nehemiah 8:10b - The joy of the Lord is my strength!  He helps me live the simple life. Those that sow with tears shall reap in joy! Psalm 126:5   Oh let love evade.... The power of God has torn the veil! Do you know who goes before you? He is looking for a bride, just like YOU?  Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Heart Homework:  Romans 14 - live simply, love madly, Praise God with all your heart, because He is our secret JOY!  Reveal the heart of Him!  lyrics by  Matthew Hooper Richie Fike Travis Ryan We believe in the crucifixion, We believe He has conquered death We believe in the resurrection  and His coming ba

Forgiveness!

Image
Forgiveness There isn't music loud enough that can drown it out!  This word forgiveness! The hardness, the heart, the soul, the emotions wrapped in a turbulent storm.  Matthew West has it right, it is the hardest thing to give away that word forgiveness!  To give away the action, the power, the self, it takes! The word alone is strong enough to move mountains!  Oh yes, isn't that powerful word the last thing on your mind today? And your heart beats strong because they don't deserve it! Your emotions stirred beyond capacity.  I feel it fly right in my face of pride, like an arrow meant to puncture and wound.  Oh, yes the pain is so real, you feel the nail as it slowly penetrates every nerve ending. And the sharp, jagged thorn of anger pierce the heart. God says it isn't flesh we have the battle with; but principalities of evil and darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness.   This word forgiveness is so opposite of feelings.  Sometimes you can't

Speak Life!

Image
Speak Life! I love to write about lyrics because often the words melt into the music.  A good song produces words that stand alone, with or without music.  The message is so important!  The song written by Tobymac leaves an imprint on my heart, because I have been torn down and lifted up by words. Haven't we all been impacted in some way by someone's words?   It is true some days go almost perfectly, and then you have a day that just doesn't work out? It is so important to speak life because with our words we can produce the power to turn someone's heart.  Matthew 10:19&20.  Lean on our Savior, because He always has the perfect words for the perfect time and day.  The time is now!   Yes, hope can live or die by what we say.  If we could only see that our words are the arms of compassion.  A comfort! A hope to the brokenhearted.  As we spread love with what we say, joy will fall like rain.  Walls fall with every word of life we say.  Psalms 16:11 Tho
