Pretty as a Peacock!

Pretty as a Peacock!

P - Power - Zechariah 4:6 - This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: "Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts."  "Who are you, O great mountain?  Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain!  And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of "GRACE, GRACE to it!"

Just a little history of who Zerubbabel was: He was the head of the tribe of Judah during the time of the return from the Babylon exile.  He was the prime builder of the second Temple, which was later re-constructed by King Herod.  He led the first group of captives back to Jerusalem and began rebuilding the Temple on the old site.  From some 20 years he was closely associated with prophets, priests, and kings until the new Temple was dedicated and the Jewish sacrificial system was re-established.  The second Temple was consecrated in about 516 BC which was 70 years after the destruction of the first Temple by the Babylonians, in 586 BC.   The story of Zerubbabel brings to mind the power we have through grace.  God says we can move mountains by crying out GRACE, GRACE!
E - Evidence - Most of us need evidence before we put forth trust!  God has asked us to put our trust and faith in Him, even though we have not seen Him yet.  ""Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."  In fact faith becomes our righteousness as we believe that Christ came, died on the cross and was resurrected, giving us life, instead of death for our sins. (John 3:16)  Here we witness His mighty GRACE again!  Human salvation was a result of Heaven's Grace! "Move those mountains by crying out GRACE, GRACE

A - Anointed - If we believe in Jesus Christ, it says in 1 John 2:20 you are anointed: "But you have an anointing from the Holy One,, and you know all things."  John has fellowship with the God of love, life and light and he wants to pass this message on to us!  More evidence of GRACE at work, in and around us.

C - Cast your care - His GRACE gives us the ability to case our care on Him, to have fellowship with the spirit of love, to communicate with him through prayer.  1Peter 5:7 GRACE is given to the humble. "Cast thy burden on the Lord, for He shall sustain thee.  He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

O - Oh, give thanks for the Lord is good, His love endures forever...Psalms 118: 1 - Through GRACE you are saved through faith! When we listen to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead and direct us...in our heart God can move mountains; just by crying out Grace to you my child!  God's grace to you!

C - Commit you way to the Lord.  Psalms 37:5 - By allowing God's grace to guide, direct and protect you!  By allowing Him to move those mountains and create a clear path for your journey.

K -  Keep thy tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. Psalms 34:13  Allow Him to touch your lips with His grace! Know that the Lord is God.  It is he who made us.  Psalms 100:3 - Allow Him to move the mountains as He did for Zerubbabel!  Move those mountains with His grace!  GRACE be with you!  11 Corinthians 12:9  But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  I will leave you with a song today; it is old fashion, but true to God's word.

He is the same today, yesterday and tomorrow!
