The greatest gift JOY!

Is your greatest gift, your biggest problem?  Do we try to  strive for
perfection with the works of the flesh!  Religion will give us rules and regulations
but it does not give us a "renewed mind and a new heart."   Do you have a spiritual burn out?
Maybe it would be better to let God take the reigns of our heart? How much does he want us to let go and let Him?  (The law will muzzle you but an intimate relationship with God will set you FREE!)  What the Law kills, the spirit will make alive! Don't let the law minister death to you; but allow the spirit of God to give you LIFE!  To give you JOY!  Apart from God we can do nothing! John 15:5

Have you heard the story of the Prodigal son?.

There was a man that had two sons.  As the boys grew, the younger son decided he wanted to leave,  He decided that it was time for him to explore the world because he just wasn't satisfied at home!  So, he asked his father if he could take his share of the inheritance and LEAVE!  Do you ever feel like that? Like the grass is surely greener on the other side.   I can only imagine that this boy's father had a heavy heart!  But, his father, though sad, didn't keep his son from leaving.  As soon as the boy collected his inheritance, he was out the door and gone!  It took him no time to spend all of his money on hideous and reckless living. Time went by and the youngest son was soon broke and literally eating with the PIGS!

Heart Homework:  Luke Chapter 15

He finally came to his senses and thought, wait my father's servants have more than I do on a good day!  I am going back home and will work as a servant!  So what he was going to tell his Father was this, "Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, and am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of your employees."  As he walked and rehearsed this in his mind, his father looked up from the fields and saw him from afar off.  His father RAN with compassion, and fell on his neck and kissed him!  His son proceeded to tell his dad he was sorry and to please allow him to work with his employees).  But His father (filled with love) had other ideas!  He asked his employees, bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: And bring the best meal for us all to enjoy!  "For this, my son was dead, and is now alive again; he was lost, and is found.  And they began to be merry!.

Don't we know that this is God.  Maybe if we truly understood how much he really loves us we would want an intimate relationship with Him.  He CHOSE us!  He is running toward us as we realize that we NEED Him!  He isn't condemning you, He is planning and providing the very best for us, a feast fit for a King!  He wants to cloth us in His righteousness!

Why be dead in sin, when you can be alive in Christ?

Joy unspeakable and FULL of glory!
