Do it Anyway!

Do it Anyway!  The reflection is beautiful!

How often do we "do it anyway"?  When I sat down tonight to write the blog, I was feeling like I really didn't want to do it.  How often does the alarm clock ring early in the morning and you don't really want to get up!  Or we don't really want to go to church, but we go anyway.  Or when I get home from work, I go swimming for two hours to have a stronger heart, and to fight diabetes....my feelings say, "I don't want to do this"!

Or even harder still there is a difficult person you work with or have as a friend who has pushed every button you can imagine, sending signals that you need to go away, instead of sending them away or you go away, you love them anyway!  I find that when you get to the end of your rope and you feel your grip slipping and you feel like you cannot hold anymore because you don't have the strength - it is then God gives you more!  More of "do it anyway".  Because during those periods of going against feelings and pressing on and "doing it anyway, you can find greater blessings, greater and deeper love!  A whole new commitment sent from Heaven above.

How many blessings do we receive when we do it anyway?  Bypass the feelings and go one step higher, one step closer to a love always there for us if we don't give up.  It has been a day, where I didn't feel like it, but I did it anyway!  it was a Philippians 3:14 day.  Do you ever have those days?

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you;…
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (The extra rope to hold you steady when you feel you can't hold on anymore)  Do it anyway, because the reflection is beautiful!

Do you remember the story of the walls of Jericho found in the book of Joshua 6?  What did it take to bring the walls down?  it took pressing on.  It took "do it anyway" even when you didn't see the results, you didn't feel the results!  Do it anyway....press on and make the walls fall!
