The un-caged bird always sings!

The Un-caged bird always sings!

Are you denied a place at the table of human kindness?  Can your soul prosper in hostile environment?  Can you dance among sorrow and suffering, and smile among the face of grief?

How can we widen the table to include the outcast, the estranged, and even the enemy?  How can we widen the table to include our messy and deprived self?  The flesh that is so easily snared.  Is it all about that momentary picture in your mind?  Or is it the picture of the one that can un-cage the bird to always sing! Who is that one? What is the song saying, is it relaying the message of the outrageously, hospitable love of God!  The birdhouse that is filled and overflowing with food.  The word being ingested.  It brings hearth to the human heart.  The song converts an unending process of submitting ourselves anew every moment of every day.

Don't skip a moment, because that could be the moment of forgiveness, that desperate minute of grace, the swift, clicking hand of mercy, or hidden joy as the clock ticks.  And maybe, just maybe that quick, swirl around the globe, that gracefully displays the delicate, dance of life that can continue to prosper among sorrow and suffering!  Each moment is accountable and ends at the foot of the cross.  The path that comes to an end and begins at redemption and ends with redeemed!

Does our language sign exclusion or embrace?  Does it reflect the un-caged bird that always has a song in it's heart?  Can you and I be the hand of hope, that just might change that momentary picture to mercy?  Can we reflect the heart of the Master....who holds the clock of time.  Can we include Jesus at our table, to clean up the messy and give us mercy that transforms to miracle!
