All through Grace!

All through Grace!

This blog is specifically for you, Michael.  You may be disappointed to know that I am not Catholic and I do not believe in the Pope, and I believe there to be only one Priest, and His name is Jesus!  Let me explain why I believe this.  Allow the Holy Spirit to touch you as I write this.  My faith is based strictly on the Father, Son and Holy Ghost - Not Catholicism!  Search your heart to know the truth!

John 3:16 - "For God so LOVED the world that he sent His only begotten son that whosoever believeth on Him shall be saved!"  (No Pope involved here) It's all through Jesus - God's only begotten son! )

Romans 3:23 -  "For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God"  (This includes the Pope)

John 14:6 -  Thomas said to Him, "Lord we do not know where you are going, how do we know the way?  Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.  If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also, from now on you know Him and have seen Him."  (No Pope mentioned here)

Ephesians 2:8&9 - "For it is by grace you are saved through faith, lest any man should boast!  ( It isn't through the Pope we are saved, it is through God's grace and our faith in Him)

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins!  ( We do not need a Pope to confess - God tells me right here in John that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins.

Colossians 2:15 -  And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.  (There is victory through the cross only - Not through principalities and powers)!

Acts 4:12 - "Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is non other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.   There is no New Testament mandate to include recitations, ceremonial objects, or symbolic physical gestures in our worship today.  Our devotion is to the Lord Jesus, no to various rituals or liturgies.  True Christianity, as derived from accurate interpretation of the Bible, is not rules-based or ritual-based.  Rather, it is relationship-based.  The living God through Jesus has made those who believe in Christ His own children (John 1:12)  The only "rites" the New Testament church is commanded to observe are the ordinances - baptism by immersion (Matthew 28:19) and communion (1 Corinthians 11:25.  But, even then, no details are given to regulate the exact methods to use.  Baptistm, of course, requires water, and communion requires bread and "the cup".  Churches are free to baptize people in baptismals, lakes, swimming pools, or horse troughs.  For communion, the Bible does not specify the frequency of the meal, the type of bread to use, the alcohol content in "the cup" or exactly who should administer the ordinance.  Churches are allowed some freedom in these matters.

John 4:24 -  God sees the heart, and He seeks those who worship Him "in the Spirit and in truth"  When God sent His son, He came to fulfill the law!  There is nothing we can do in our power to be enough.  We could not save ourselves, the Pope cannot save us.  It is only through the saving grace and the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ! It is He and He alone that has come to fulfill the Law for us.

John 1:29 -  The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and 'said, "Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

John 14:26 -  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance; whatsoever I have said unto you.  The word became flesh - John chapter 1.

Love you my brother in Christ!
