My First Love!


My first Love!

Today is Peacock challenge number 2!  A friend motivated me to design a Peacock.  I am sending the challenge back to her because she is an artist too.  I want to see her paint a beautiful Peacock and post it on facebook.  Or if she has one already scan and post it!  

As I think of this beautiful bird, I wanted to use it as a symbol of God's LOVE.  So I have picked some letters that spell out the beautiful creation of God's word!  Each represent a feather in the wind, something like the Holy spirit is to our heart.


   P -  Peace
   E -  El shaddai, Eyes to see, Eternal Life
   A - Amazing Grace, Anchor, Angels
   C - Cleansed by the Blood
   O - Obedience
   C - Comfort, Compassion and Church
   K - Key - Kindness, Kingdom of God


Peace - 
Ephesians 2:13&14 "But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ, for He Himself is our peace."
El shaddai - 
Do you have the eyes to see that El shaddai is Eternal Life?  El - means "All  sufficient One"   Shadda - means "Absolute power."  Dai - means "poured out,  blessings "  My God How Great thou Art! 
Amazing Grace - 

 What did it take to be "all sufficient with absolute power?  It took "Amazing Grace"  Psalms 45:2 - "Grace is poured upon your lips"  2 Corinthians 12:9 "My grace is sufficient"  Romans 5:17 "Abundant Grace"  James 4:6 "He gives more  grace" Our Anchor and Redeemer!  He sends the Angels to watch over us! 
Cleansed - 
Cleansed by the blood of the lamb:  Psalms 19:12-14, Psalms 51:2, Psalms 119:9,  Ephesians 5:26 - washing of water by the word, 1 John 1:9 - "If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us!" 



Obedience - 
Romans 5:19 - Because of one man's obedience, we have an advocate! 2 Corinthians 10:5 - bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,  Hebrews 5:8 - sacrifice brings obedience.  
Comfort and Compassion  - 

 Psalms 23:4 - "The staff comfort me" 1 Thessalonian 5:11 "Comfort each other" Isaiah 51:12 - "It is He who comforts" Psalms 86: 15 "Our God is full of compassion" Mathew 9:36 - "He is moved with compassion" James 5:11 - "The Lord is very compassionate!"  Church - Matthew 16:18 - He will build His Church!!


Key - 
What is the KEY to open the door?  It's within the "Peacock" - This is not a proud peacock, but one that is filled with power and peace! It brings the message of obedience and being cleansed by the blood of the lamb.  It spreads it's wings with comfort and compassion!  He is knocking, knocking at the door! Matthew 7:7 - "Knock at the door and it will be open unto you!"  Revelations 3:20 - "I stand at the door and knock."  Will you answer the door?  Do you hear Him calling? John 14:2 - "I go to prepare a place for you!" Matthew 6:13 - "for yours is the Kingdom"  Repent, the Kingdom draws nigh" Matthew 3:2

Day 3 - Revealing the Heart  Can we let truth speak louder than our feelings?  The longer we speak, read and live truth, our feelings will need to agree!  While reading my devotional today in (Ephesians 3:12) it talks about having courage and confidence in Christ.  The word used in the text was unreserved.   I wanted to look up the definition.  And as I read it, it created this boldness in my heart while I read the words out loud. You may want to try doing this yourself.   It started with unconditional, unqualified (no qualification required) without reservation, unlimited, categorical, unequivocal, unambiguous, absolute, complete, thorough, wholehearted, full, total and undivided.  This is God's love, his love is complete and unlimited.  There is only one way to interpret it, clear and concise.  It goes on to say in ( Ephesians 3:17) by faith we are rooted and grounded in Christ's love!  We often distance ourselves from the very source we need because of feelings

Day 1 - New Year 2015

Day 1 of the New Year 2015 Let me not lose sight of you Lord Jesus!  1)Happiness 2.)Abiding in the Lord  3.) Power of your Word 4.) The inspiration of the Holy Spirit!  5.) Not allowing the woes of this world to rule my state of mind.  6.) I CAN have happiness!  7.) I CAN abide in the Lord!  8.) I HAVE power through His Word!  9.) I HAVE inspiration through the Holy Spirit!  10.) Most thankful for the joyful journey ahead as YOU Lord hold my hand!  Psalms 30:11 - We can change lament into whirling dancing!  Let your vision be the burst of song; I can't keep quiet about you!

Day 2 - JOY

Day 2 You might think there is a magic formula in obtaining "Joy".  Relationship and resolution to have a closer relationship with the one who provides joy, it is a simple formula, but few take it.  Psalm 33:22 "Let your loving kindness, O Lord, be upon us, according, as we have hope in You."   As we claim every promise that God has given us as our own, it deposits one more gem of joy in our heart.  As we take this journey of joy together, be patient as He shows us victory in every circumstance, no matter how it looks to us on the outside of our heart.  He can give us peace from within. Keep your focus on the beauty of His creative and magnificent hand.  And before long, you will feel Him holding your hand.  "We wait for the Lord.  he is our help and our shield.  In him our hearts find joy.  In his holy name we trust."   Psalm 33:20-21 The heart of gratitude!  1.)
