Today's Peacock is filled with Prayer and Praise!  Why prayer and praise?  Because in Matthew it says "Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation."  The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."  Every day my flesh battles with diabetes, depression and high blood pressure, just health issues, not even the temptations that are put before us each day!  God tells us in his word to be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (Is the Lion after you today?  I don't need to ask, because God's word says he is.) "1Peter 5:8.  He also tells us to resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.  We are not alone in this battle, our brothers and sisters in Christ suffer as well.

Prayer and Praise, helps us to prepare, to become perfected in His sight, steadfast, strengthened, having Power, established, and settled.  Who receives the glory?  God does, because without the Holy Spirit, directing, refreshing and renewing our mind daily, our flesh wouldn't be able to withstand.

Encouraged - In Romans chapter one, Paul spoke to the Church and encouraged them!  "Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!  He told the church that their faith was spoken of throughout the whole world.  He prayed for the Church always and wanted to remind them. He said that He longed to see them.  This is the Heart of God...He longs to fellowship with us to impart spiritual gifts, so we may be established, be encouraged together by our mutual faith.

Advocate - Why praise? Oh, why praise!  Because we will not stand alone on the day of judgement!  Hallelujah, Christ is our Advocate.  We cannot do it alone! God knew we couldn't.  We do not stand alone, here on earth.  "My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin.  And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous."  1 John 2:1 -   One day we will stand before the Judge of the world.  We have an attorney that paid the price for us.  How many attorneys in this world are willing to pay the debt of someone else's sin?  NONE!  This is why I praise Him!  This is why my heart is filled with Thankfulness!  Until we see our heart for what it is without Him, we can't understand the price that was paid.   And we cannot grasp the love it took on Christ's part to be obedient, unto death so we wouldn't have to pay the price.  Is prayer and praise enough?  It isn't what we do that makes the difference.  It is what He did for us!  He loved us!

Can - Because we have an advocate and He encourages us daily through His word - "We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us."  Stop relying our yourself to get it all done and start relying on God, because the battle has already been won!  The Victory is yours today, through our Advocate!  (Prayer and Praise)  This is truly information that needs to be rubbed on the heart daily.  Each day is a day of Thanksgiving!!

Oppressed - Is your mind on your flesh, or is it on your faith?  If your mind is on your flesh, God says our flesh is weak!  Our Advocate wants to renew our mind.  Read Psalms 103 - He has forgiven our iniquities, He heals our diseases, He redeems our life from destruction, He crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies.  He satisfies your mouth with good things, so your youth is renewed like the eagles!

Corruptible Seed - In 1 Peter 1:23 It reminds us that we are no longer born of corruptible seed; but since we have purified our souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.  Our faith is our righteousness, through Christ.  Live by the Spirit and not by the flesh; but by faith.

Knowledge - If we would only listen and read God's word, we would not only obtain wisdom for living; but we would have the knowledge of how close the Lord really is to us!  Psalms 139 - Don't leave the devotional today without reading the whole chapter.  What encouragement!  What a delight to know we cannot flee from His presence!  "If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me!

(Prayer and Praise!)
